Tobias started riding when he was seven years old, and horse-obsessed since he could talk. Like many aspiring equestrians, his horse journey began with weekly riding lessons after school and obsessing from the sidelines. His love for teaching started as early as 12 years old when he’d stay late after lessons to assist his instructor with beginner riding lessons. Then, the trajectory of his life changed when he was gifted his first horse and heart horse, Bug, on his 16th birthday.

Tobias began as a show hunter and eventually moved to dressage as a teenager where he truly found his love for the sport. Having grown up with severe anxiety, Tobias approaches teaching with positivity and care. With his fixation for the intricacies of horses he can pick apart and explain just about any horse-related topic whilst keeping a light hearted learning environment built on a passion for the equestrian life.

With over 13 years of riding under his belt, nowadays he teaches, rides, and trains horses full-time. Tobias also likes to call himself a “professional horse yapper.”
